A closed reduction fracture procedure is a procedure to realign a broken bone without the need for an incision. This approach is typically used when a patient has a broken bone that can manipulated externally, without the need for serious surgical intervention. During the procedure, the surgeon will use manual force techniques to manipulate the joint and carefully reposition the broken segments of bone into their original anatomical alignment. After the procedure, the surgeon will create a cast around the fracture to ensure it stays immobile during the vital recovery period.

Doctors typically recommend this procedure to patients who have sustained a minor fracture that requires treatment, but not necessarily surgical intervention.
