    Patients are placed under general anesthesia to ensure complete comfort during the procedure. Once anesthesia takes effect, the surgeon gently inserts a thin, flexible tube with a camera (endoscope) through the nostrils to visualize the sinus passages without making any external incisions. Using the camera for guidance, the surgeon carefully inserts specialized surgical tools through the nostrils to remove blockages such as polyps, scar tissue, or thickened mucous membranes. The openings to the sinuses are widened to restore natural drainage and improve airflow. After all targeted areas are treated, the instruments and endoscope are withdrawn, and the nasal passages are gently packed or dressed if needed to control bleeding. Following surgery, patients may experience nasal congestion, mild bleeding, and sinus pressure for several days. Saline rinses and prescribed medications will help keep the nasal passages clean and reduce swelling.
