During this surgery, the surgeon will reattach and tighten torn or detached labral tissue to stabilize the joint and prevent further dislocations. This procedure can be performed traditionally as an open procedure, or arthroscopically. An arthroscopic bankart stabilization is less invasive and the recovery time is faster.
