Dr. Ryan Carr is a board-certified, dual-fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder, hip, and knee disorders here at Smith Medical Direct Specialty Care. Among the procedures he performs are joint replacements, advanced arthroscopic reconstruction surgery, and fracture management.

Upon completing his residency at the University of Illinois, Dr. Carr gained experience as a surgeon in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. In addition to his training with a highly regarded shoulder surgeon, among his other specialties. 

Previously, he worked as a team physician for professional and high school sports teams.

 In 2014, Dr. Carr was awarded the “Vernon L. Nickel Research Award” from the Orthopedic Research Association. Outside of the office, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife, Stella, and great Dane.
