Gary R. Snider, MD is a proud plastic surgeon at Smith Medical Direct Specialty Care specializing in general surgery and has experience through a fellowship with microsurgery. Dr. Snider is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery as a General Surgeon and board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Regarding his background, Dr. Snider grew up in Ogden, Utah. Having received an “Honors at Entrance” scholarship, he studied Biology at the University of Utah.
He went on to earn his M.D. with honors in 1982 and then proceeded to finish his general surgery training at St Joseph’s Hospital in Denver in 1988. After he graduated, he became board-certified in general surgery. He traveled to Houston for his plastic surgery residency which he completed in 1990 at the University of Texas.
He finished a microsurgery fellowship at Washington University and then traveled to France where he worked with Dr. Guy Foucher at the Strasbourg Clinic.
