The surgeon will then use a scalpel or laser to remove the wart. If necessary, the surgeon will add stitches.

After the procedure, patients have to avoid walking on the foot that was treated. This may warrant crutches to ensure the patient does not irritate the region. Typically, patients can return to regular activity after 1-2 weeks.
